Project Overview

Floral Pastry is a conceptual bakery for my university’s branding project. The bakery is a small, family owned pastry shop that specializes in French pastries located in Las Vegas. Their design elements focus on simplicity, elegance, and cleanliness.

The Problem

Building a unique brand identity can be challenging

Building a strong and unique brand guide which complies with professional design standards can be a challenge. While designing with the initial drafts for Floral Pastry’s logo my goal was to make the logo stand out from other local businesses and be distinctive enough for customers to remember.

Key takeaways from this project

  1. Learned to build a brand identity system with creative design solutions: From this project I was pushed to think creatively while making sure to follow the client’s requests and produce the highest quality product.

2. Learned to use proper processes, methodologies, and principles to visual designs: Purpose-driven, brand coherence, simplicity and visually memorable are some important design principles which I was able to put into practice while building Floral Pastry.
